The famous Carnevale! (Feb 18-28)

Carnevale is a grand event in many places in the world, but in Italy, Venice is the place to be for Carnevale. Unfortunately since we had exams every week and classes late in the day every day, we didn't have as much of an opportunity to check out more events around the city.

However, we did go out Saturday night, February 25th, the last Saturday of almost a 10 day event. For those who don't know what Carnevale is about. It's equivalent to the Westernized version of Halloween, but for both kids and adults, but there is no tradition of giving out candies. People walk around wearing their costumes. Masks are usually popular.

Here's a brief look at Carnevale:

Some other revellers in full proper costume!
Really awesome!

Partying into the night at a bar...but the bar was so small and completely full. That was definitely not a problem for us to have our party!

Giuseppe being very goofy (more likely he was very drunk) exploring his feminine side. You go girl!
